Product-preview notice. This is a launch-preparation draft, not a substitute for a final notice approved against the completed app, vendor list and operating entity. It will be reviewed before live accounts open.

01

Who this notice is for

This privacy notice describes how HireDriverJi plans to handle information relating to website visitors, prospective customers, app users, driver partners, business contacts and people who submit an enquiry.

The public service and Flutter apps are still being prepared. We will update this notice with the operating legal entity, registered address, final data flows and effective date before live customer or driver accounts are opened.

02

Information we may collect

The exact information depends on how you use the website or future app.

  • Contact and account details such as name, mobile number, email address, city and login or verification information.
  • Booking details such as pickup, destination, schedule, service type, vehicle preference or customer-supplied vehicle information where applicable, trip notes and support history.
  • Location information where you grant permission and it is needed for pickup, trip progress, support or safety features.
  • Payment status, transaction references, invoices and refund information. Full card or UPI credentials should be handled by the chosen payment provider rather than stored by HireDriverJi unless expressly disclosed.
  • Website, app and device information such as browser, operating system, IP address, app version, diagnostics and security logs.
  • Driver-partner information such as identity, address, driving licence, verification records, bank or tax details, availability and service history.
  • Messages, feedback, complaints and records you choose to share with support or through an enquiry form.
03

How information may be used

  • Create and protect accounts, verify contact details and manage preferences.
  • Match booking requirements, coordinate driver arrival and support trip completion.
  • Calculate or display charges, process payments and refunds and generate booking records.
  • Operate driver onboarding, eligibility and service-quality processes.
  • Respond to enquiries, safety reports, disputes, privacy requests and support needs.
  • Detect misuse, investigate incidents and improve the reliability and security of the service.
  • Meet tax, accounting, legal and regulatory obligations and enforce applicable terms.
  • Send service messages and, only with the required choice or consent, product or launch communications.
04

Location, contacts and device permissions

The future apps may request permissions only when a feature requires them. A permission prompt and in-app explanation should describe why access is needed. Location may support pickup selection, trip status, route context, safety tools or support. You can use device controls to review or withdraw permissions, although some features may then be unavailable.

HireDriverJi does not currently require access to your phone contacts on this website. If a future trusted-contact feature uses contacts, the app will explain that use before access is requested.

05

When information may be shared

Information should be shared only for a defined purpose and with appropriate safeguards.

  • With the customer or driver partner on the other side of a booking, to the extent needed to coordinate and complete that booking.
  • With vendors supporting payments, maps, communications, verification, cloud hosting, customer support, analytics or security once those vendors are selected and documented.
  • With an organisation that arranged an authorised business booking, subject to the business agreement and user notice.
  • With advisers, insurers and auditors where reasonably required for legal, safety, incident or business purposes.
  • With government authorities, courts or law enforcement where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law.
  • With a successor in a merger, financing, reorganisation or sale, subject to lawful notice and protection of affected information.
06

Retention and deletion

We plan to retain information only for as long as needed for the stated purpose, booking and dispute records, safety and fraud review, accounting, tax or other legal obligations. Final category-specific retention periods will be added before launch.

A deletion request may not result in immediate deletion where a record must be retained by law, is needed for an unresolved dispute or is required to protect users and the platform. Where possible, data may instead be restricted or de-identified.

07

Security

We intend to use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the product. No online service can promise perfect security. Users should protect their device, account credentials and one-time passwords and should report suspected misuse promptly.

08

Your choices and rights

  • Ask for information about the processing of your personal data, subject to applicable law.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete account information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
  • Request erasure where applicable and where retention is not legally or operationally required.
  • Manage app permissions and communication preferences through the available controls.
  • Raise a grievance and, where provided by law, nominate another person to exercise relevant rights.
09

Children

HireDriverJi customer and driver-partner accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or older. The service is not designed for children to create their own accounts. If we learn that a child has supplied information contrary to the applicable process, we will review and take appropriate action.

10

Service providers outside India

Some future technology providers may process information outside India. If that occurs, we will evaluate the applicable legal requirements, update this notice and use suitable contractual or other safeguards.

11

Updates and contact

We may update this notice as the product, vendors or legal requirements change. Material changes will be presented through appropriate website or app notice before they take effect where required.

For privacy questions during the product-preview stage, email support@hiredriverji.com. The final legal entity, privacy contact and Grievance Officer details will be published before public launch.
